Coffee Frosting

A nice change to the usual chocolate frosting.
2 egg whites
1 ½ c sugar
½ tsp cream of tartar
1/3 c strong coffee or espresso
2 tsp light corn syrup

Combine all ingredients in the top of a double boiler. (Or place in a metal bowl over simmering water) Stir to blend well and beat with a rotary beater until frosting holds its shape.
Remove from the heat and continue beating until frosting stands in peaks.
