Homemade Waffles

Better than frozen, almost as fast, twice as good.


2 eggs

2 cups All-Purpose flour

1 3/4 cups milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 tablespoon sugar

4 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon and/or 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Butter flavor spray (preferably)


Break eggs in a large mixing bowl and, with a hand blender, mix until they are very light and fluffy.


Add in the rest of the ingredients. Folding in with a rubber spatula at first and then blending more thoroughly with a whisk to get rid of lumps.


Spray heated waffle iron with cooking spray or brush with oil/butter.

Add batter, a little over 1/4 cup (depends on your waffle iron) and cook until golden and crispy.
