Salmon Steaks with Balsamic/Maple Glaze

What can I say? Easy and delicious.



2 lbs salmon filets or steaks

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 cloves garlic, minced


Heat oven to 450F.

Take salmon steaks, pat them dry and let firm up in the fridge.

Put balsamic vinegar, maple syrup and garlic in a small pan. Heat to simmering and just cook enough to mellow the garlic and combine the flavors.


Put salmon on foil lined baking sheet sprayed with PAM or lightly coated in oil.

Brush salmon with sauce.

Bake for 10 minutes. Brush with sauce. Bake for 5 minutes. Brush with sauce. Bake for 5 more minutes.


Serve with the rest of the glaze.
