Marinade for Flank Steak

1/3 c spicy V-8 juice or Snappy Tom
1/3 c soy sauce
1/4 c canola oil
1/3 c brown sugar
2 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp chili powder
1/8 tsp ground cumin
flank steak

Combine all ingredients, except the flank steak, in a bowl and whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Add flank steak. Or pour marinade into a gallon size ziplock bag and seal. Marinate several hours or overnight. Remove steak from the marinade and either grill over coals or on a griddle, three minutes per side for medium rare. Let the steak rest for at least 5 minutes then slice into strips against the grain.
